08 Dec 08 Learning languages can ‘boost your brain’
A group of Researchers from University College London analyzed the brains of 125 people and 85 of whom were bilingual.
They found that, learning other languages can altered the “grey matter”. The Grey matter is the area of the brain which processes all languages information in the same way exercise builds muscles.
They also discovered that, people who learned a second language at a younger age, have more grey matter than those who learned later, the team said (more info here).
